Already the 2nd day of November. The time has just seem to pass us by.
This time of year seems to be when everyone does 30 days of Thankfulness. I am going to be one of those people.
The Lord has blessed me in many ways and for those things, I am grateful. But there is so much in His word that we can be thankful about as well.
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”
It doesn’t say be thankful when all is going right. It states in ALL circumstances give thanks. We may not understand why we are in the season today, but God does and give thanks that He is in charge.
“I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.”
Give thanks to God for the righteousness he has given to us.
(Day 3)Daniel 2:23To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king’s matter.”
(Day 4) Psalm 69:30 NIV
“I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.”
Sing Him songs of praise and honour and thank him for His sacrifice.
(Day 5) Jeremiah 30:19Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving,
and the voices of those who celebrate.
I will multiply them, and they shall not be few;
I will make them honored, and they shall not be small.
(Day 6) Psalm 107:1
“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
Rejoice for He never stops loving us.
(Day 7) Hebrews 12:28”Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,”
Thank you God for your kingdom!
(Day 8) Acts 24:3In every way and everywhere we accept this with all gratitude.
Just be thankful He is always with us.
(Day 9) Psalm 118:28-29You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
Again He shows us just how much he loves us.
(Day 10) Colossians 3:16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
(Day 11) Psalm 50:14Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High,
"Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp."
"In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted."
“Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving”.
"We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing."
"always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."
“Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne and Who lives for ever and ever,”
(Day 19) Psalm 118:24This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
(Day 20) Revelation 11:16-17 NIV
“And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We give thanks to You, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.”
“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”
“I will give You thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise You.”
(Day 23) 2 Corinthian 4:15
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.”
(Day 24) Phil. 4:6
“Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God.”
(Day 25) Amos 4:5Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened,
and proclaim freewill offerings, publish them;
for so you love to do, O people of Israel!”
declares the Lord GOD.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
