Do you have a tool belt?

Do you let your circumstances dictate how you view God?

Do you let you God dictate your response to the circumstance?

Lately I’ve been finding that I need to view God differently. Not the box I’ve put him in the last month or so. There are so many things he is doing that I could never comprehend.

Now when things arise, I stop and say how can I use this to give glory to God. It isn’t easy in the middle of the battle. But it does make me view things differently.

I’m in this world to be a light for Christ. I’m not perfect, I fail, I fall, I stumble and I trip. But I look to Christ and ask for forgiveness, grace and mercy.

I recently read a devotion in my Daily Bible App, (wish I could remember who to give credit) that talks abut Mom’s toolbelts. Do you have one? I know that I do.

For strength in the battle

Colossians 1:1

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might

so that you may have great endurance and patience,

For patience,

Proverbs 14:29

Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.

For peace,

Proverbs 167

“When a man’s ways please the LORD,

He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

These are just a few on my tool belt. I have verses scattered all over. I have some to help me with the boys. I have a few I pray over them. I want them to grow up trusting and relying on God to help them in their day.

Today I ask that you be a light in a world of darkness.
