Getting our groove back

I have seen so many people are back to school already and I feel like we *MUST*, but I know we aren’t quite ready. We are starting back slowly..

We’ve been watching A LOT of Mighty Machines on Netflix. Yes it is a TV/Movie, but really after coming off of break where there wasn’t a “true” routine. I’m okay with tv and movies in my homeschool day. It works for us.

Mighty Machines has several episodes and talks about different Vehicles/Machines that we see or use in our every day life. It is pretty cool. Maybe I can get some printables to help the boys remember what they watched.. hrmmm

Anyway.. We will be slowly adding in more to our day and being more structured before we “officially” start in September. I do know that every day we are learning and every day that is school!

I suppose this momma better get her schoolroom/play area cleaned up!

Happy Thursday ya’ll

Are you ready for school? Have you started yet?

  1. we just started school this week and we decided to ease into it. With a 13 year old and two preschoolers, we have found that this year it is what works. So far we have done Math, Geography and Creative Writing for the oldest, and started the littles on shapes and colors.
    Not. quite. ready.

    1. Yes, easing back has been helpful. Thank you for taking time to respond. I hope your homeschooling year is a great one!

  2. I love teaching and I love learning. I think it would be very enjoyable to do home schooling. Unfortunately, my only child is over 30 years old now, so I won't have that opportunity.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond. It may have its ups and downs, but I love it and the time with my kids learning right with them too.
