Monday Morning Musings….

Today is the Day after Easter and we should all be so happy and rejoice because we KNOW our KING is ALIVE and well! We had  a wonderful day yesterday. we learned about the Resurrection, what it means to be a follower and why we are loved so much. We had an Easter Egg Hunt, talked about why there is no Easter Bunny and why we don’t celebrate with the Easter Bunny. Then had to remind the boys that some children do believe in the Easter Bunny and it is not our place to tell them they are wrong, but to show them the meaning of Easter. This is a hard thing to do for our children. We teach them not to lie and they have a hard time allowing others to lie or believe a lie, not sure how I am going to handle this, but I know when the times comes, I will do as instructed by the Holy Spirit.

This week we are learning about plants, rain, our garden and of course satellites. Why satellites? Well ThingOne wanted to know how the Garmin worked and why it wasn’t working in certain areas. I proceeded to tell him about satellites, space and Astronauts. He replied, “Mommy, I don’t think you and daddy can be astronauts and teach us about satellites.” Oh really was my reply and why not? ThingOne “ Because you are too round”, Too round? are you saying Mommy and Daddy are fat? “yes I am”

OH bay was that a reality check. I know that we have been working hard on getting into shape not only for us but for our kids, I guess I need to work a bit harder on that and really ask God to guide me and help me, because I HATE working out. Now to find a way to make it fun an get moving.. literally

I don’t want me kids to be ashamed of me. I don’t want to be ashamed of me, so starting today, I have vowed to get up and walk every day around the block, in the morning and the evening. Guess I am going to have to find someone I can be accountable to. Lord, do I need help!

Enough rambling for today.. Hope your week is blessed..

It is great to be a homeschooler…………
