Spaghetti and Meatballs

I asked the boys what they wanted for dinner, never expecting to hear Spaghetti and Meatballs. So I thought alright how can I make this fun.

I got out all the ingredients, arranged them in the order they needed to go in. I asked the boys if they knew what each ingredient was. Most they knew some they didn't.  As we were putting them in the bowl Thing 2 asked how are we going to mix all this goop. My reply, was a bit of laughter as I rolled up my sleeve and said "OUR HANDS!" Boy were they excited!

Can't you tell how engrossed they were in playing with the goop as they named it.

(Wonderful science lesson right here making dinner)

Then it was time to make meatballs. Notice I said meatballs.. They said "meatball"

Thing 3 just basically watched, thinking we were all nuts. He used a spoon.

A good time was had by all, messy table and Thingamajiggers.

                                      I love my life.
Thank God he gave me the strength to keep my days fun and energetic.

  1. I love Thing 3's expression! My son might have played with it for a bit but eventually he would freak out that his hands were dirty and screech until someone washed his hands off.

  2. Yes it is priceless expression.

    Thank you for visiting.

  3. New follower from Workboxes.

Wow you are brave!!! I don't know if I would let my kids do this, but I am OCD about food prep. It drives my hubby crazy. Such cute pics!!! I may have to let the kids try making their own homemade meatballs.

    Check out our mayheim sometime!

  4. I am with Thing 3 do not touch meat:) To this day I can't make meatloaf because you have to mix the meat by hand, YUCKY:)
